Boundary Control as Gatekeeping in Facebook Groups

Facebook groups host user-created communities on Facebook’s global platform, and their administrative structure consists of members, volunteer moderators, governance mechanisms developed by the platform itself. This study presents viewpoints volunteers who moderate that are dedicated to political discussion. It sheds light how they enact day-to-day moderation work, from administration group membership, while acknowledging demands come both these tasks.
